KTMDarin > Front driveshaft boot is missing.

For $248.00 I could have replaced the seal and driveshaft but I choose the $12 option of a rubber boot, so far it's still holding.
KTMDarin > Wide angle view of the torn seal, break cleaner does a nice job of removing the old grease
KTMDarin > $248.00 for a new rubber boot and driveshaft OR a $10 rubber boot and 30 minutes of installation time

New boot is held together by 7 mini nuts and bolts -you can see them in the pic, the seam is overlapped and locked together preventing any water or dirt from getting inside........Notice the new grease is installed at the top?. I added 4 more handfuls of grease (inside) the boot which will help displace any water or dirt that may get in. It's a harsh enviroment under here and anything is possible. A little extra effort will pay off in the end.
KTMDarin > Boot installed and sealed up.

Note the heavy duty radiator hose clamps on both ends of the boot. I used these instead of the supplied clamps for a more secure fit and better holding ability. Do not over tighten the clamps, they will cut into the rubber and cause premature wear.

KTMDarin > New drop shackel installed. Zerk fitting can be seen at top for greasing.
